Tanning Beds Sanitized With Out Chemicals. Here’s How…

I am the happy owner of one the cutest, most unique salons in town. I take a great deal of pride in its appearance and its cleanliness. I have several hair and nail booths, three tanning beds and two rooms I rent out to massage therapists. It’s an absolute must that all of these areas be kept sanitary and presentable. I’m in the image industry so my presenting own image in its best light is critical.

Some areas in my salon are easier maintained than others, but all areas receive daily and weekly cleanings with my steam cleaner. Cleaning them any other way is unacceptable.

Keeping my tanning beds clean and sanitized used to be one of my biggest challenges. Obviously providing my clients with the cleanest most sanitary beds is at the top of my list but its also necessary to keep all the parts clean for the beds to operate at peak performance.

I refuse to use chemicals to clean or sanitize. They’re bad for the environment and can be extremely harmful to my clients health. In the past I’ve had clients exhibit a reaction to some of the cleaning solutions I used to sanitize the beds and pillows. That was before I bought my steam cleaner.

Daily, my beds are steam cleaned after each tanning session. I use the diamond attachment with a cloth to steam every part of the bed that comes in contact with a person’s body. This includes the acrylic shields, pillows, buttons and handles. Cleaning these items with my steam cleaner will ensure that fungus, bacteria and viruses are stopped immediately. Cleaning with steam is fast and effective and will not damage the finish on the beds.

Weekly I use steam and a microfiber cloth to remove dust and oils from the reflectors, lamps, fans and trays which, if allowed to build up, would prevent them from working effectively. I specifically use a microfiber dusting cloth for removing dust and debris, these cloths are amazing. I also like the microfiber glass cloth for polishing the windows, mirrors and chrome – it’s actually one of my favorites.

I can’t say enough about my steam cleaner. I truly believe these things were invented and designed for salon owners. Yes they’re awesome for my tanning beds but equally as awesome for every other surface in my salon. You name it and my steamer cleans it.
